God wasn't watching where I was going!

A little boy from church had an accident last Sunday. He was running through his house and he fell into something that slit his arm badly enough he needed stitches. Part of the child's explanation included, "God wasn't watching where I was going."

How thought provoking is that statement? "Clearly God doesn't know what's going on in my life because if he did, then this, this, and this wouldn't be happening to me." The problem with that reasoning is simply that God--in his infinite love--does not take his eyes from us. We are the ones that shift our gaze....
